Born in Rio de Janeiro,
lawyer, Lorena Marzano has lived in Spain, Venezuela and Perou. She transfers
in 2000 to Venezuela, where she begins her studies in jewel design, enrolling
in multiple courses and workshops. Seeking to sharpen her technical
and theoretical skills, she attends for eleven months the "Course
of Jewel Design" of the "Pontifícia Universidade Católica
do Rio de Janeiro", taking her masters degree on december 2001.
Back to Venezuela, she specializes in new techniques, such as enamelling,
chisel and relief. In Brazil, she became a pupil of Cássio Mundim and
Roberto Olivieri and participated in many important fairs and similar
events, exhibitinsg and selling her jewells with great success. She lives
now in the capial of the United States, Washington-DC.
Her creations mix such metals
as silver and gold with Brazil's colorful precious and semi-precious stones.
Her jewels are unique and exclusive, combining can be best described as
highly spontaneous, while conscientiously accomplished, mixing with elegance
and innovation, functionality and beauty, her own intuition and assurance.
